The overall objective is to use existing resources more efficiently and avoid expansion of desalination plants through identification and evaluation of technologies that can save domestic water resources by up to 20 percent.  Activities involved installation of these technologies in 13 different sites such as individual houses, hotels, schools, and hospitals and monitoring savings achieved.  Recommendations from this study were used to develop new building codes in Oman.
